Part I

Mars, for the first few months of 2010, will be in a sector of the sky that governs your ability to explore, to embark on adventure... and take risks. Within twenty-four hours of Mars leaving that part of the sky, Jupiter enters your sign. That too, says something about success, opportunity and excitement. This time last year, you were apprehensive, not just because of all you saw in the news but because you had doubts about an important arrangement in your personal life. You expected things to be a lot worse than they turned out to be. That tells us something about expectation!

The cosmos, in 2010, wants to bring you a sense of deep satisfaction. To get that, you have to drop some aspirations and adjust some priorities. You've got more meaningful objectives to pursue. Following these dreams won't make you immune to challenge but it is going help you make more of your gifts and talents. Learn to make the most of being in a winning situation because soon, the changes that occur will put you in that position. Be ready. Make the kind of choices that a person who would make if they had a great deal of what they wanted and were likely to get more. Be responsible, generous, kind and inspired. This year really is going to be special and pleasing.

Part II

Imagine you live in a remote village where there's little to eat but potatoes. You hanker for a better, more varied diet. Every few years, a helicopter sets down. One day, it lands in your garden and you offer the pilot some mash. He says: 'My next stop is a place that has rich cuisine. Let me take you there tomorrow.' That night, you pack for your journey. A few clothes, a lot of potatoes. You don't want to go hungry. You drag a big bag towards the flying machine. The pilot frowns. 'Sorry, you can't bring that. We'll never take off.' Will you go home? Or trust that the journey will be quick and, where you're going, you won't need potatoes? Mars motivates you to spend the first half of this year 'packing'. Jupiter promises that during the second half, you'll be well rewarded if only you let go of what you no longer need. To make the most of 2010, be generous and optimistic. You've been battling to bring about change and you're close to success. You need neither be defensive nor overly assertive this year. Just open-minded enough to recognise good fortune when it arises.
