Part I

During the first half of the year, the emphasis will be on money. With Mars in the part of your chart that governs security, you could have to make moves and choices which benefit you in the long run, even if they don't change much in the short term. But the second half of the year will be spent fulfilling an aspiration that really excites you. If that sounds like a mixed blessing, let's be clear. We're either blessed or we're not. And you're definitely going to be blessed in 2010. You'll soon change many ideas about what you can and can't do.
There will come a point when you look back and say, 'I can't quite believe how things turned out for me... but there won't come a point where you say, 'Why did I let that happen? What a mistake it was.' No great mistake is about to be made. This may be a difficult and trying year at times but it will eventually bring a realisation that your toughest times are in your past. You have a wealth of precious past experience. As you put that to work, see beyond a problem and become inspired by what you're now free to build on and improve. You will very much enjoy your year; especially all the love, joy, and creative satisfaction it brings.

Part II

Astrological years don't always separate themselves into halves. Sometimes, they stick to a single theme. Sometimes too, the outlook changes frequently. It so happens though, that some signs this year see a clear distinction in 'tone and feel' between the first six months and the next. Cancer is one of those signs. But though your year neatly splits, your life does not.
Gone, for many moons to come, are the days of you having to feel as if you're being torn in two by anything or anyone. No more divided loyalties. No more mutually exclusive options. In the first part of 2010 you grow more secure, materially and emotionally. Then, you build on foundations laid long ago and begin to fulfil secretly cherished aspirations.
OK. Let's be clear. I didn't just say you'd get rich, enjoy a perfect love life and then go on to fly a spaceship or land a Hollywood role. I just implied you'd achieve things that felt in their own way, about as pleasing. You face, of course, challenges too - largely involving the need to make a brave decision that frees you from a past problem. But rising, successfully, to these challenges will be one of this year's many pleasures
