A mere three months after the Cruz/Cruise romance became official, rumours abound that Tom and Penelope are planning to get hitched, fuelled by the fact that Penelope’s family have recently been visiting the couple in Los Angeles.

Coming hot on the heels of Tom’s widely publicised divorce from Nicole Kidman, which is due to be finalised in January, the reports of an imminent wedding are somewhat surprising. An unnamed source claims Tom proposed to Penelope over an intimate dinner at the Beverly Hills home they’ve been sharing.

The fact that Penelope’s family are being introduced to Tom for the first time seems to have lent credibility to the story. According to Australian magazine New Idea Penelope's sister Monica said of the meet-up, "My parents were impressed by what a down-to-earth guy Tom is. Dad was bracing himself for a Hollywood big shot, but Tom pulled a master stroke by taking him out for a beer."
