Robbie Williams, indisputably the master of reinvention, has undergone his most amazing transformation yet.

Although it may sound unlikely, the performer whose most endearing quality has always been his ability to convey tongue-in-cheek irreverence can now legitimately add the title of Reverend Robert Williams to his long list of credits.

In the space of just 48 hours the top-selling artist was ordained as a minister in one of America’s anything-goes churches and performed his first wedding ceremony.

Only in America could one legally become a minister in a matter of minutes by surfing the internet and receiving online ordination. But that’s what 28-year-old Robbie did.

“Next time I’m in America I may do a two-week intensive priesthood course,” he mischievously threatened.
