After two years of retirement, Celine has signed a $100 million three-year contract with Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas

Celine says the deal gives her the best of both worlds: her singing career and quality time with baby Rene-Charles

Just weeks before she comes out of semi-retirement with the release of a new single, Celine Dion has revealed that not only has she signed a $100-million contract with a Las Vegas casino, but she also plans to have another baby. The French Canadian chanteuse who walked away from the spotlight two years ago to start a family, now aims to have the best of both worlds.

In her first aired interview since she left the music biz, Celine told US TV programme 20/20 that she and her husband René Angelil, who had their first baby Rene-Charles through IVF, hope to have a second child using a frozen embryo. “We will definitely give it a try,” she says. “It doesn’t mean it will work, but we’ll see.”

The 33-year-old, who left show biz to have a “normal life”, says she signed the lucrative three-year, five-night-a-week Las Vegas deal because it will allow her to have a family and pursue her career. "When I wake up in the morning, I can play with my child all day at home,” she says. “I'll leave home around 6pm then I'll come home and kiss him goodnight. I can spend time with him. That's the most important thing to me.”

Construction in the legendary city has begun in preparation for the superstar’s arrival – she and husband Rene Angelil are building a mansion for their possibly growing family just a half-hour away from the Las Vegas strip, and Caesar’s Palace casino is designing a special 4,000 seat replica of the Roman Colosseum especially for Celine’s performances.

The top-selling performer is clear on the reasons why she has chosen to return to the entertainment world, saying she’s making a comeback “because I’m happiest now. I think I’ve grown up a little more.” She adds: “I feel great… I have it all.”
