No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani is famed for her offbeat mix’n’match taste in fashion, but the quirky blonde went for elegance when she married her boyfriend of six years, Bush front man Gavin Rossdale, on Saturday. The bride was beautiful in a cream-coloured John Galliano gown as she walked down the aisle at St Paul’s Church in London’s Convent Garden - but she retained her funky sense of style, with the hem and train of her skirt dyed a stunning pink.
The event many called the rock’n’roll wedding of the year began with Gavin waiting outside the church for his future wife, accompanied by their rose-adorned sheepdog Winston. The low-key ceremony took place in front of a small group of friends and family, including London-based designer Oswald Boateng and the wedding dress creator himself, Galliano.
The musical couple, who share a home in North London, is certainly celebrating in style. After the UK nuptials, the two jetted off to Los Angeles for a second wedding ceremony with stateside friends. A romantic honeymoon in France is set to follow.
The pair of ceremonies top off quite a week for the bride and groom – Gavin reportedly said goodbye to his bachelor days with a total of three stag nights, while his American fiancée settled for just one hen party.
