3 FEBRUARY 2004
Pop group Duran Duran are set to have some special royal guests at their upcoming party after the Brit Awards in London. The fivesome, currently on the comeback trail with a string of sold-out concerts, have invited the Prince of Wales and his companion, Camilla Parker-Bowles, to the post-ceremony bash, which is only for "close family and immediate friends".

According to a Duran Duran spokesperson, front man Simon Le Bon and his supermodel wife Yasmin hit it off with the couple when they met at last October's Fashion Rocks event. "They got on well, so (Simon and Yasmin) asked them to their forthcoming parties," said the representative.

Charles' son Prince William is also rumoured to be attending the Brits, scheduled for February 17. And though an official invitation apparently has not been extended to the royal heart-throb, "He, too, would be welcome at the after-party," says the Duran Duran camp.
