Destiny's Child took centre stage twice over at the star-studded World Music Awards ceremony on Wednesday night. The trio turned in a stunning set at the Hollywood gala as well as beating out
Il Divo, Gorillaz, Maroon 5, and the Black Eyed Peas to take home the world's best pop group gong.

Also picking up statuettes were Gwen Stefani and The Game, who were recognised as best-selling new female and male artist, respectively.
Some artists took home more than one award from the Kodak Theatre bash including Mariah Carey who landed the titles of best pop female artist as well as female entertainer of the year. The chanteuse, who has enjoyed a resounding comeback with her latest album The Emancipation of Mimi, also pipped Alicia Keys, Usher, R Kelly and Ciara to the post to take the best R&B artist title.
Other multiple-honour winners on the night included Usher and 50 Cent.
