Speaking at the screening of a new documentary about his career George Michael: A Different Story, the pop star said he wanted his lover of ten years "to have his rights".
His announcement comes days after Elton John revealed details of his special day when he weds boyfriend David Furnish. But 42-year-old George, who'll be attending, said his own ceremony will be nothing like the nuptials of the Candle In The Wind singer.
"Elton is different and although he says his wedding will be low-key, I don't know what this is for Elton," he said. "His idea of low-key is going to be incredible. I'm sure he'll celebrate with panache and style."
George credits Texan-born Kenny with helping him get over the loss of his mother to cancer. Her death came a few years after his previous partner Brazilian designer, Anselmo Feleppa passed away in 1993 following an AIDS-related illness. |
