Chart-topping singer and all round style icon Gwen Stefani is to become a mother. The blonde bombshell, who has been married to British rocker Gavin Rossdale since 2002, is believed to be three months pregnant with her first child.

The Tinseltown press has been awash with rumours of her condition in recent days, but it was her husband's father who finally confirmed the news. Gavin's dad Douglas told an American magazine he was "delighted" at the prospect of welcoming another grandchild.
Gwen has never made any secret of her desire to start a family. In No Doubt's hit single Simple Kind Of Life the 36-year-old sang the words "I always thought I'd be a mom, sometimes I wish for a mistake."
Next year looks set to be a hectic one for the Californian chanteuse. Her new bundle of joy is expected to make his or her debut in June, and the songstress is also in the running for five awards at February's Grammys. Her chisel-jawed husband, who already has a 16-year-old daughter from a previous relationship, is meanwhile on the road with his new band Institute as they provide support on U2's Vertigo tour. |
