Just three months old and Kingston James McGregor Rossdale is already set to be a trendsetter. On an outing with his mum Gwen Stefani the junior rocker, whose dad is Institute frontman Gavin Rossdale, wore cool checked trousers and little white bootees.


But his most stylish accessory was the leopard-print baby carrier the singer was using to transport him when they attended a gala for the US Open. Gwen, who made no secret of the fact she was longing to hear the pitter-patter of tiny feet, was delighted with Kingston's arrival at the end of May.

Her little boy's birth has also been the catalyst for a new friendship. The 36-year-old Hollaback Girl has become pally with fellow celebrity mum, Angelina Jolie, and the pair have reportedly been sharing child-rearing tips.

While she's revelling in motherhood, Gwen appears to be as ambitious as ever. Earlier this month she popped into an LA recording studio to check progress on her next album, which is due out next year.
