Kylie Minogue signs to Jay-Z's record label Roc Nation

Kylie Minogue has entered new musical pastures and signed to Jay-Z's record label Roc Nation.The Australian songstress, who has reached the height of fame with a string of hits from an impressive 26-year-long career, has said goodbye to her 19-year relationship with manager Terry Blamey and joined the label that represents the likes of Rita Ora and Rihanna.Posting an image of herself in a Roc Nation slogan t-shirt on Twitter, the singer puckered up for the camera as she revealed her news. "Kisses from my new home at Roc Nation!" said the Slow artist.

And of course, the label were thrilled to have to the platinum-selling artist on board. "We would like to welcome Aussie singer, recording artist, songwriter, actress and designer Kylie Minogue to the Roc Nation family!" said a statement from the hit-makers. "In a career now spanning 25 years, Kylie has released 11 studio albums, two live CDs, eight live concert DVDs, a greatest hits double album, and multiple video packages. She has released over 50 hit singles worldwide, including the Grammy-winning Come Into My World, and has sold more than 68 million albums worldwide. "Needless to say, we’re excited to have Kylie join the Roc fam."

Kylie, 44, announced her decision to depart from her former managing team on New Year’s Eve as she ended the final leg of her 25th anniversary tour. Said to have made the plan in September, it was understood that the Spinning Around singer had decided to focus on improving her thespian credentials.Manager Terry said: "Kylie has decided to pull back slightly from the pressures of her career and devote more time to herself and her acting career.""This is not to say she will be retiring from music, just taking a bit of a break. "Recently appearing in French indie film Holy Motors, Kylie's performance as an air hostess in the sci-fi thriller made its way to Cannes, scooping seventeen awards in its wake.Speaking about her reignited passion for acting, the multi-talented artist said to The Guardian: "It's good to be acting again.""It terrifies me in a completely different way and I almost had to unlearn things that I just do naturally, as being 'Kylie'. So I think I had extra work to get rid of that and to be believable as this character. "The songstress will herald the revival of her music career at the pre-Grammys charity show, where she will perform with Timbaland and DJ Deadmau5 on Sunday.
