As Britain's hottest young sporting talent, 23-year-old Lewis Hamilton, is crowned the youngest champion in Formula One history, we take a look back over the incredible life and career of the racing driving star. When Lewis was just six, his dad Anthony brought his enthusiastic young son his first go-cart, marking the very beginning of an impressive career. Pictured after winning his first race in 1993, aged eight, the Stevenage-born star approached McLaren boss Ron Dennis just two years later for an autograph and, despite his tender age, had a clear idea of what his future held. "Hi. I'm Lewis Hamilton," he said. "I won the British Championship and one day I want to be racing your cars."
