The offer to play a boozing, womanising postie on Mancunian comic drama Sorted came as a breathe of fresh air to handsome Glasgwegian Cal Macaninch. Until then the actor's small-screen portrayals rarely strayed from the intense and introspective characters featured on shows such as Silent Witness and Waking The Dead. The philosophy graduate shot to fame pushing the limits as a rugged mountain rescue worker in Rockface, and went on to star in 2005 Brit flicks Rag Tale and Dear Frankie.
