The daughter of top horse trainer Ian Balding, Claire has made her mark as the BBC's racing specialist. She was herself a champion jockey before her career in broadcasting started to take off. And the Cambridge-graduate has proved that her expertise is not limited to equestrian events, by reporting on everything from rugby league to Wimbledon.
