Famous for: Being one of the first women to succeed in the world of sports journalism

A native of St Andrew's in Scotland, Hazel was an accomplished athlete herself before setting her sights on journalism. The presenter started her career at Radio Clyde in Glasgow before moving on to ITV and then the BBC. She is a regular presenter of the beeb's premiere sports programme, Grandstand, and also appears on the Six O'Clock News.
