Born: April 5, 1973
Famous for: playing popular English teacher Tom Clarkson in Waterloo Road
It was after watching Ken Loach-directed drama Kes that Jason Done first discovered his love for acting. Born and raised in Salford, Greater Manchester, he was awarded a place at the National Youth Theatre's summer school aged 16 where he first began to hone his talents. He left Salford University with a diploma in performing arts and went on to make his small screen debut in six-part ITV comedy, Mothers Ruin, in 1994. With a number of small screen appearances under his belt and a spell on stage, Jason landed a small part in The English Patient opposite Juliette Binoche his first film role. In 1997 he worked on cult police TV show Wokenwell followed up with roles in Merlin, starring Helena Bonham Carter and Miranda Richardson, and series including Where The Heart Is, Sea Of Souls and Conviction. In 2006 he first appeared in Waterloo Road, a BBC drama about a troubled comprehensive school, as English teacher Tom Clarkson.
