In the role of Albert Square's Kat Slater, Jessie has earned a reputation as a woman not to be trifled with. The actress was used to tackling TV tough guys long before she arrived in Walford, however, having previously played a WPC in The Bill. Before landing her onscreen roles, Jessie studied theatrical and media make-up and then went on to work as a make-up artist for the Royal Shakespeare Company.
