BIOGRAPHY
Born: July 3, 1927
Film director
Famous for: Directing controversial flicks such as Women In Love
Hampshire-born Ken, who has eight children by four wives, tried his hand at photography, dancing and even served in the Army before finding his niche as a film director. Making a name for himself in the Sixties and Seventies through odd-ball dramas with opulent visuals, Ken hit the big time with 1969 movie Women In Love, the year's third highest-grossing film. His career high came when three of his films were showing simultaneously in the West End. He set another record in January 2007 when he became the oldest person to enter the Big Brother house.
