If The Saturdays are as fun and flirty as their name suggests then that's probably down to Mollie King. Always the first member of the girl group to try something new, whether its surfing or the latest viral dance trend, the vivacious blonde puts the sass into Saturdays.

Her private school education and well spoken manner mean that she is often labelled as 'the posh one'. They also brought her into the ambit of Prince Harry.

To the disappointment of fans imagining her taking tea at Buckingham Palace with his grandma, Mollie was quick to shoot down rumours of a relationship.

"We're friends and we have friends in common but it's a rumour that just spiralled out of control," she said.

Born in Wandsworth, London on 4 June, 1987, Mollie initially dreamed of a career on the ski slopes. The athletic youngster's prowess resulted in her being picked for Britain's junior ski team and receiving a scholarship to the national Ski Academy.

She soon turned her back on sports to pursue her passion for entertaining.

Talking about the risks involved with her choice, Mollie said: "I finally stopped professional skiing when I was 17.

"It was hard to give up because I was training at an Olympic level and doing well. It was a big risk. But thank God it paid off."

Mollie tried her luck twice on X Factor - once as a solo act and then with Fallen Angelz.

In 2007, the feisty Londoner finally hit gold as one fifth of The Saturdays, along with Frankie Sandford, Una Healy, Vanessa White and Rochelle Humes.

Their debut single If This Is Love landed in the top ten. From there it was a roller coaster ride to fame, with the girls popping up on the airwaves, in magazines and on TV.

By 2010, the Sats had sold two million records, with their chart-topping tunes including Notorious, All Fired Up, Higher and Missing You.

Their domination extends to reality TV too. The Saturdays: 24/7 was followed by 2013's Chasing The Saturdays, which related their attempt to break America and rivalled the Kardashian sisters' Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami for popularity.

Despite her fame and exciting life, the songbird has found it hard to find love. Ever the optimist, Mollie does have plans for the future and even has ideas for baby names.

"I love the band; they're my life. But in ten years time I also hope to have a family. I'm such a girl and already have my baby names planned. Now I just need to find a good man."
