Sienna Miller
Having a mother who ran the famed Lee Strasberg drama school and the sort of classic blonde looks that make casting directors sit up and take notice, it's no surprise Sienna Miller became a movie star. Add a stormy relationship with one of Hollywood's most high-profile heart-throbs and an original fashion sense to the mix, and you have a winning formula for silver screen success.

Sienna was born in New York to American banker Ed and his glamorous South African wife Jo. Growing up in London the young girl was in no doubt as to where her future lay, later commenting: "I've wanted to be an actress for as long as I can remember, and I can say I was almost born in the theatre. My mum went into labour while she was watching the Nutcracker Suite in New York - apparently I was kicking like mad!".
Educated at an exclusive Ascot boarding school, Sienna returned to New York to study acting and made her film debut in 2001's South Kensington, alongside Rupert Everett and Elle Macpherson. However, it was not for another three years that Sienna really made her mark, winning praise for her role alongside Daniel Craig in 2004 flick Layer Cake and starring in Alfie alongside Primrose Hill hunk Jude Law. The couple's onscreen relationship soon overflowed into real life, and the glamorous pair made headlines with the news that had got engaged on Christmas Day 2004.
However, as Sienna's star rocketed her relationship with Jude waned. In May 2005 the Talented Mr Ripley actor admitted to cheating on her with his children's nanny, and Sienna called off the engagement. The pair tried to patch up their romance on various occasions, but the roller-coaster relationship finally ground to a halt in December 2006, with both admitting it was truly over.
Long before anyone could name any of her films, Sienna's wardrobe and sense of style had already landed her in fashion magazines, and she launched her own label Twenty8Twelve off the back of her trademark boho-chic. The down-to-earth starlet refuses to employ a stylist, however, and says she's happiest at her new home in London, cooking and surrounded by friends.
In 2006 her solid acting track record and physical resemblance to 1960s icon Edie Sedgwick made her an obvious choice to play Andy Warhol's muse in Factory Girl. "I think it's startling how accurate Sienna is," says the film's director George Hickenlooper. Having directed several leading ladies at the start of their careers - including Naomi Watts and Renée Zellweger - George considers Sienna far and away the most talented. "She evokes the same kind of emotional response that I imagine Edie did," he says. "She's got so much charisma and effervescence. When you meet her, it's like being hit by a strong wind."
