BIOGRAPHY
Actress
Born: February 23, 1967
Famous for: Playing Dr Caroline Todd in comedy series Green Wing
Best known for her comic roles in series such as Black Books, Tamsin has also had a long-running part in radio show The Archers, playing Debbie Aldridge since 1991. But it was her performance as neurotic Fran Katzenjammer in the aforementioned bookshop-set sitcom that brought the British actress to public attention in 2000. Parts in Shaun Of The Dead and Doctor Who followed, before Tamsin landed the lead role of Dr Caroline Todd in the hugely successful hospital comedy Green Wing. A varied and accomplished actress, she picked up a Laurence Olivier Award for playing Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing in 2006 and 2007 and has also starred in an RSC production of King John. In March 2008, she appeared on stage alongside Ralph Fiennes in The God Of Carnage and then made her National Theatre debut in Gethsemane in November of the same year. Tamsin is married to actor Richard Leaf, whom she met on the set of TV series Neverwhere in 1996, and the couple have three children together two sons and a daughter.
