14 MARCH 2002
Already breathtakingly lovely at just 15 years old, Princess Caroline of Monaco’s daughter, Charlotte Casiraghi, brought an extra glow to the city of light this week when she attended the International Horse Jumping Championships in Paris.
The keen horsewoman was accompanied by best friend Valentine Pozzo di Borgo, 17, and young jockey Thierry Rozier – son of Olympic champion Marcel Rozier. There was no doubting, however, who was the belle of the evening. As she grows into womanhood, Princess Grace’s granddaughter increasingly reveals the glamour and beauty which she has inherited from the late Hollywood star.
Charlotte’s visit to the French capital came as details emerged of the mystery companion with whom she had been photographed two weeks ago during a family holiday in the Austrian ski resort of Zurs.
The tall, blond Austrian who has obviously found favour with Prince Rainier’s granddaughter is 22-year-old Hubertus Herring-Frankensdorf, a scion of one of Austria’s leading families and distantly related Queen Margrethe of Denmark.
