Zara Phillips was looking all loved up this past weekend. For once, however, the object of her affections wasn't rugby ace Mike Tindall, but a playful pup called Spey.

It turned out to be a family affair for the 26-year-old horse-mad royal, as her father Captain Mark Phillips was also taking in the day's sporting activities with his wife Sandy.

The latest addition to Zara's menagerie, Spey is reportedly an anniversary gift from the Yorkshire-born England player, marking the couple's first year together.

Mike's relationship with the Queen's granddaughter seems to be going from strength to strength. The couple share a former farm worker's cottage on Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, and Mike recently turned down a £200,000-deal with Watford-based Saracens in favour of a team closer to home.
