Denmark's Princess Alexandra has shown off two very different sides to her character after wearing radically contrasting outfits on the same day.

The princess was a picture of understated chic when she opened an adoption conference at the University of Copenhagen. Alexandra, who had gone along to help support the first global conference on adoption issues, managed to hit just the right note in a neatly-cut green jacket with matching skirt and hat.
Later that day royal fans met an altogether more glamorous figure, however. The pretty royal stole the show at a party in Waldermars Castle when she made her entrance in a black halterneck dress and ornate mask with bright fuchsia plumes. Her sizzling outfit was one of the big hits at the bash, which was thrown to celebrate the 30th birthday of her friend Caroline Fleming.
But there was one accessory she was wearing at both events - a dazzling smile. And it seems Alexandra has good reason to be content, as she is said to be enjoying a new romance with photographer Martin Jorgensen.
