Cuddled up together, the proud parents, smiling older brothers and alert newborn - looking curiously around at his environment - make the perfect family portrait.
This heartwarming image is the first official shot of Denmark's youngest royal, the son of Prince Joachim and his lovely French wife Marie.
Released by the Danish royal household, the picture is all the more touching because of the obvious excitement of the baby's siblings Nikolai and Felix – Joachim's children with his ex-wife Alexandra.
It's proof if it were needed of the affection they've come to bear for their stepmother, who worked hard to forge a bond with them.
The little boy – who is Marie's first child and was born on May 4, will not be named until his christening as is the tradition in the family.
His baptism will take place on July 26 in Mogeltonder Church, the parish church of Schackenborg Castle, the couple's main residence, 172 miles west of Copenhagen.
It was here where they became man and wife in a fairytale summer wedding last year.

Very nice to see the happiness of Prince Joachim ! To my mind, his first wife was not the right one for him - he loved her - but if she loved him ?
.... so here comes the better chance -
the 2nd will be the first love.
