Once a former wild child with a reputation for partying, Mette-Marit of Norway is now admired by her countrymen as a dedicated mother and irreproachable crown princess.

One of the most admirable aspects of her life today is the way she combines caring for her three children – Ingrid and Severre Magnus by Prince Haakon, and Marius from a previous relationship – with her continuing studies.

Following a half-year course at the BI Norwegian School of Management - in Management: Power and Meaning - the royal is back at the institution take classes in Consulting.

Somehow the 36-year-old managed to squeeze cramming for the management module into her official agenda, passing earlier this spring after presenting a mini-thesis.

Her three-year part-time degree follows a stint at the London University's School Of African and Oriental Studies in 2002/3 when she took classes in development, HIV/AIDS and refugees.
