He loves you, yeah, yeah: Eugenie's boyfriend accompanies his Princess to Macca gig

30 MARCH 2012 Having your prospective mother-in-law along for date night might be awkward for some young men.

But Princess Eugenie's boyfriend Jack Brooksbank seemed happy enough – if rather perplexed by all the attention – when he stepped out with the royal and her mother, the Duchess of York for a pop concert.

And he walked a few feet behind her to avoid the glare of the photographers.

The couple have been close for 18 months after being introduced on a skiing holiday. 

Romantic rendezvous are few and far between as the 22-year-old Princess is studying at Newcastle University while private school-educated Jack, 26, works as a barman in the City of London.

At Thursday's gig by Sir Paul McCartney, the young lovers were joined by Ronnie Wood, David Walliams and his supermodel wife Lara Stone.
