Autumn's spring baby gives the Queen more reason to celebrate

30 MARCH 2012

When Peter Phillips' wife Autumn was seen heavily pregnant on a night out with the Queen and Prince Phillip royal watchers were clear that she didn't have long to go.

Now the pretty Canadian, who married into the royal family in 2008, has given birth to her second daughter.

The little girl, who is 13th in line to the throne, has been named Isla Elizabeth in a tribute to her royal great-grandmother.

She arrived on Thursday at Gloucestershire Hospital,  weighing 7lbs and 4oz.

Isla has a ready-made playmate in 14-month-old Savannah, who is a favourite with paternal grandmother Princess Anne.

Just the other day Anne was seen doting on the little girl at an equestrian event at Gatcombe Park.

The Jubilee baby makes the monarch's happiness complete as she basks in the affection of her people this year.
