What Kate Middleton might wear to leave hospital

22 JULY 2013 Kate Middleton was known for her elegant maternity style and so she is bound to follow suit with a stylish outfit as she leaves St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, London, after giving birth a baby boy.

One of the most iconic images was that of her late mother-in-law Princess Diana of Wales leaving the very same hospital in June 1982 cradling a newborn Prince William. She wore a smock-style, pastel green polka dot dress that won universal praise and cemented her status as a fashion icon.

If Kate's maternity fashion is anything to go by, she will opt for something with an empire line and a V-neck. The outfit is bound to be loose-fitting in order to ensure the new mum's comfort.

It's likely to be a British designer – some of her well-known favourites include Alexander McQueen, Beulah, Temperley London and Katherine Hooker. Alexander McQueen was, of course, the fashion house behind her stunning wedding dress, but seeing as they are known for their tight-fitting numbers, Kate may well opt for another designer.
