Princess Caroline of Monaco relaxes in St Tropez before royal wedding

25 AUGUST 2013 Princess Caroline of Monaco has been enjoying her time off before the imminent wedding of her son Andrea Casiraghi to his long-time love Tatiana Santo Domingo.

The mother-of-four was seen relaxing and basking in the sun in the idyllic St Tropez, which seems to be a popular holidaying spot for the Monegasque royal family. Princess Caroline's pregnant daughter Charlotte Casiraghi and her boyfriend Gad Elmaleh also paid a visit to the French town earlier this month.

Princess Caroline was all smiles as she laughed and chatted away to her friends. The stylish royal dressed appropriately for their beach outing, and looked chic in a flowy, white kaftan dress that fell just above the knee.

She accessorised with a wide-brimmed straw hat and matching beach bag, long beaded necklace and gold bangles. The elegant royal looked very happy and relaxed as she walked along the pier barefoot.

Last summer Princess Caroline arranged a family holiday to Corsica with her four children and their partners, but with preparations for Andrea and Tatiana's wedding keeping the family busy, the mother-of-four didn't have the chance to organise a similar trip this year.

She looked extremely happy on her holiday, and it seems the royal has had a lot to smile about over the past few months. Princess Caroline recently became a grandmother for the first time when Andrea welcomed his son Sacha with Tatiana in March.

Princess Caroline is no doubt excited about welcoming her second grandchild when her daughter Charlotte gives birth before the end of the year.

Earlier this month Charlotte was spotted shopping for baby clothes on the Italian island of Capri, accompanied by her French comedian boyfriend.
