Princess Caroline of Monaco supports daughter Princess Alexandra in skating competition

30 SEPTEMBER 2013 Princess Caroline of Monaco was on hand to support her youngest child Princess Alexandra in a skating competition in Verona, Italy over the weekend.

The 56-year-old Monegasque royal attended the event with her youngest son Pierre Casiraghi and his girlfriend Beatrice Borromeo.

Alexandra, 14, and her skating partner took part in the city's annual Opera on Ice event which combines opera singing and ice skating.

Princess Caroline, Pierre and Beatrice sat in the front row to watch Alexandra, whose father is Ernst of Hanover, perform the elegant spectacle.

Caroline was every bit the stylish mum in a leather jacket, tailored shirt, black skinny jeans and a pair of on-trend glasses.

Pierre, 26, and Beatrice, 28, sat either side of Caroline and cut a stylish duo in monochrome outfits.

The supportive trio marvelled at the teenagers' performance and led the applause.

 



It has been a busy few months for the Grimaldi family. New parents Andrea Casiraghi and his Colombian-born love Tatiana Santo Domingo tied the knot at the end of August in a low-key bohemian ceremony. The newlyweds welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in May.

Another royal baby is on the way in the tiny principality of Monaco. Caroline's eldest daughter Charlotte Casiraghi who is expecting a baby with her dashing comedian beau Gad Elmaleh. It is thought that the Gucci model is in her second trimester.

Pierre and Beatrice were recently seen supporting their fellow European royals at the wedding of Prince Felix of Luxembourg and Claire Lademacher.

Italian journalist Beatrice chose a chic mink trouser suits and an unusual black headpiece as she walked to the church with Pierre, who wore a grey suit.
