Prince Charles and Camilla reminded of baby Prince George on visit to children's hospital

The Duchess of Cornwall was reminded of her step-grandson Prince George when she paid a visit to a children's hospital in London.Camilla, 66, was cradling ten-month-old Maijed Dhaif in her arms when she commented on the baby and George's similarities in age. "There we are, there we are," said the Duchess as she rocked him gently. "Holding him like this reminds me of George. They're about the same age."

As she was holding him, the young Maijed was drawn to Camilla's earring and made a grab at her jewellery. Ever the graceful royal, Camilla took it in her stride and assured hospital staff, saying, "Don't worry, it's a clip on."Prince George is growing up fast! Prince William talks crawling, first tooth and moreCamilla was joining her husband Prince Charles on a visit to the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital where the couple were due to open the new Chelsea Children's Hospital.The Prince of Wales and the Duchess were given a tour of the new unit including the operating theatre suite — home to the UK's only Da Vinci robot. Charles and Camilla were shown the medical apparatus and had a go testing it out. Camilla was first to try using the robot, laughing as she played around with the equipment. "Would you like a go?" she said to her husband after. The first-in-line to the throne appeared to struggle a bit more and joked that he hoped he hadn't "broken their machines".Prince Charles jokes he's been taking 'lessons in grandparenting'The couple then met staff, young patients and their parents and spoke to the children who were busy writing and drawing on an arts and crafts table. One particularly chatty youngster was five-year-old James Middlehurst, who was in hospital for an operation on his prosthetic leg.When James asked Prince Charles which football team supported, the 65-year-old laughed it off, saying "I don't like answering that." The young football fan said that he backed Manchester United, to which Charles joked, "Best not to mention that."

After their tour, Charles and Camilla took to the stage for the official opening of the hospital. "Before we both attempt to unveil this plaque, I just want to say as a result of the invitation, we're so delighted to come and join you on this occasion to help open the new Children's Hospital here at Chelsea and Westminster," said Charles.Prince Charles and Camilla's next royal engagement announced

"And we also so enjoyed meeting the children and their parents and all those wonderful nursing staff who make such an enormous difference to people's lives," added Charles.Sophie Wessex moved to tears on visit to hospital where she gave birthAt the end of the speech, Camilla then pulled open the maroon curtains to unveil a gold plaque. The Duchess was then presented with a bunch of flowers from a little girl, as hospital staff applauded.
