Prince William says bath time with Prince George 'is quite painful'

Prince William has admitted that bathing Prince George is not the easiest of tasks.The 32-year-old royal dad told guests at an event on Wednesday that tub time with the youngster – who turns one on 22 July – is a very tricky time of the day indeed for himself and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge, née Kate Middleton.

Prince William has spoken about the difficulty of bathing Prince George

Speaking after he put on his aqua gear at the British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) gathering in London, he joked: "At the moment bath time is quite painful, but hopefully donning a snorkel and mask might calm him down."

He divulged more details about one of his aquatic hobbies while taking a dip in the pool with children. "I've been a fair weather diver up to this point," he said. "I'd like to get back into British waters." Duchess Kate is also a member of the BSAS and did some diving in north Wales where they lived until last autumn.

On Wednesday William, his father and brother Prince Harry had quite a full schedule of engagements. They attended the BITC Annual Responsible Business Awards Gala and the two brothers helped launch The Queen’s Young Leaders Programme at Buckingham Palace
