Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Madeleine and Princess Sofia of Sweden pulled out all the stops to attend the opening of parliament on Tuesday. The trio stepped out in matching monochrome looks, showing off their impeccable and coordinated style.

Princess Sofia, who arrived on the arm of her husband Prince Carl Philip, nailed business chic in a black dress and leather belt. She brightened up her look with a stunning hair accessory – a white flower pinned into her elegant chignon.

The new mum, whose son Prince Alexander was christened last week, showed no signs of sleepless nights.

Her sister-in-law Princess Madeleine, Carl Philip's younger sister, sported a similar look, opting for a black suit that featured a matching neckerchief and white collar.

Madeleine was not joined by her husband Chris O'Neill, who was presumably back in London where he and Madeleine live with their two children, Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas.

Completing the royal trio was Crown Princess Victoria. The future queen teamed a white top with a black skirt and like Sofia, fastened an elegant hairpiece into her low bun. She was accompanied by her husband Prince Daniel.

All three princesses are balancing their royal duties with charity work, not to mention motherhood. Victoria and Sofia both welcomed baby boys this year, one month apart, while Madeleine gave birth to her second child last year.

The children were naturally not making an appearance at the parliamentary opening in Stockholm, although they did delight royal watchers when they attended Prince Alexander's christening last Friday.

The adorable four-month-old, who was baptised at Drottningholm Palace Church, shared the spotlight with his older cousins – newborn Prince Oscar, one-year-old Prince Nicolas, two-year-old Princess Leonore and four-year-old Princess Estelle.
