To get the ball rolling, our Editor-in-chief Rosie Nixon has been sharing her own special recollection of the Princess of Wales, and in the video above, she recalls the day she received a lovely note from the royal wishing her a happy sixth birthday. "It happened to be my birthday on the 29th July 1981," Rosie remembers. "I turned six. I actually wrote to Diana and the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace to let them know that I was celebrating a special day on the day they got married, which was also 29th July 1981."

A short while later, young Rosie was lucky enough to receive some special post. "I received a letter back from Buckingham Palace, excitedly it came on Buckingham Palace headed paper," she explains. "It says, 'Dear Rosie, the Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer have asked me to convey their best wishes for your celebration on the 29th July 1981. His Royal Highness and the Lady Diana wish you a very happy day. Yours Sincerely, Philippa Lane.' She must have been the lady-in-waiting. I was extremely excited as a little six-year-old to receive this. My mother very carefully kept this letter in a scrapbook at home."

Explaining why this letter still holds such a special place in her heart, Rosie reveals: "This is something that I hold so dearly now, to actually have a letter from Buckingham Palace with their names in it is something very special to me. I think I was always destined to have this job at HELLO! after receiving that."
