Commonwealth games off to racy start as Charles and Camilla meet 'very fit' athletes

It wasn't just the prospect of sporting competition that set royal pulses racing at the Delhi Commonwealth Games.

The Duchess of Cornwall was particularly impressed by some of the athletes' physiques as she and Prince Charles were introduced to competitors in the Indian capital (above).

"I see you are suitably dressed, gentlemen. You guys look very fit. How are you coping with the heat?" she asked decathletes Tom Reynolds and Roger Skedd.

The royals have been in India for the past week ahead of Sunday's spectacular opening ceremony.
