As the Monegasque royal family stepped out to celebrate the principality's National Day, one member was notably absent – Charlotte Casiraghi.Heavily pregnant Charlotte, who is preparing to welcome her first child with actor Gad Elmaleh any day now, has scaled down her royal engagements and public appearances in the past couple of months. The pair have been keen to keep their relationship out of the public eye, but last month Gad opened up about the love of his life, calling her "the best mother in the world" when the time comes. The French comedian added that Charlotte was "doing well and is so excited about becoming a mother."

While the expectant royal did not make a public appearance, Monaco's National Day was particularly exciting for her sister-in-law Tatiana Santo Domingo. The Colombian beauty, who recently married Andrea Casiraghi in August, officially joined in the national celebrations for the first time as a member of the royal circle. The beautiful couple were joined by their family members for the day, including Andrea's mother Princess Caroline, Caroline's siblings Princess Stephanie and Prince Albert, and Albert's wife Princess Charlene.

As the rain started to pour down, the royal family ducked into the Cathedral of Monaco to attend a special mass held in honour of the festivities.

As tradition dictates, after the ceremony the family watched the National Day parade from the royal balcony where they waved to crowds and applauded the display.

Charlene looked elegant as ever in a navy jacket, and tenderly held on to her husband's arm as the pair waved and blew kisses to the people below.

The couple were joined on the balcony by Caroline, Stephanie and Caroline's other children, the handsome Pierre Casiraghi and the young Princess Alexandra. Pierre's long-term girlfriend Beatrice Borromeo was not pictured at the celebrations.
