A keen gardener, Prince Charles will meet young children from across the country who have been taking part in a national schools’ initiative to design a ‘dream edible garden’.Prince Charles has devoted many years to overseeing the gardens at Highgrove Gardens, and he runs his own competition for children, Mygrove, where young children share the fun of growing their own fruit and vegetables and can win a visit to The Prince’s sustainably run garden at Highgrove.Launched in response to the grow-your-own revolution, the Edible Garden Show has been running for four years, and this is its first year at Alexandra Palace.Prince Charles has been officially taking on more duties since January, when the Queen began to pass royal duties to younger members of the British royal family.
