The two young royals also share an early experience of tragedy. Andrea was just six when his father, Stefano Casiraghi, died in a speedboat accident, while William lost his mother Princess Diana when he was only 15.
Fortunately both of them could count on a strong family support network. Wills gets on especially well with his grandparents, the Queen and Prince Philip, and enjoys close relationships with his brother Harry and father Charles.
Andrea is often seen out with all members of his family, an extended one since his mother, Princess Caroline, married Prince Ernst of Hanover in 1999. |
