While Prince Charles was unable to accompany Camilla when she hosted a 1999 fundraising dinner, his presence was certainly felt – through Camilla's jewellery, of course.
For the first time, Camilla publicly wore an elegant brooch in the form of the Prince of Wales' emblem which Charles had given her two years before. The piece, which features the same design as is engraved on his signet ring, was one of seven he gave to special women in his life.
Other recipients of the heartfelt gift included Tiggy Legge-Bourke, William and Harry's longtime nanny, and royal confidente Patty Palmer-Tomkinson.
