When Aussie real estate agent Mary Donaldson met Prince Frederik, she had no idea the metamorphosis that awaited her. Her royal makeover kicked off early on, in relatively humble fashion – a £500, six-week presentation and deportment course in Sydney.
And she didn't exactly make an immediate splash with the Danish public. Famously timid at first, she earned a reputation for her nervously inexpressive countenance. However, by the time of her engagement she had re-vamped her image, becoming poised, elegant and smiling – as well as polished, thanks to a wardrobe stocked by Danish designers and hair and makeup courtesy of local celebrity stylist Soren Hedegaard. |
