Charlotte Casiraghi was born on August 3, 1986, into what should have been a fairytale childhood. No expense was spared in providing for the daughter of Princess Caroline and Italian industrialist Stefano Casiraghi.
At the age of four, however, Charlotte's world was turned upside down when her father was killed in a speedboat crash and Caroline moved her family to rural France. In 1999, the youngster received a new stepfather – and, not long after, a new half-sister – when Caroline wed Prince Ernst of Hanover.
