Of all the things they have in common, Peter and Autumn are perhaps closest in their desire to live life away from the spotlight. "We have been left alone and, touch wood, I hope it stays that way," remarked Peter three months after their engagement announcement made headlines around the world.

In line with their low-key approach the couple have planned a relatively simple wedding, turning down the Queen's offer of a dozen Gentlemen At Arms to usher guests to their seats at St George's Chapel. "They want to do their own thing," says a friend.
