FAMILY TIES
Beatrice is not only unscarred by her parents' 1996 divorce, she's convinced it has strengthened the family. "It made it all better, strange as that may sound," she comments. "We have the closest family unit I could wish for."

The Yorks still holiday together with their daughters, providing proof of the Duchess' declaration that they are "the happiest divorced couple in the world". Certainly Bea has nothing but praise for Andrew and Sarah. Asked to name her best friends she readily responds: "Mum is always at the top of the list."

Meanwhile the Queen, whom she calls Granny One, is: "so wise, so kind, and I just love her to bits". Keen equestrians, the monarch and her granddaughter ride together at Windsor, while shared raspberry picking trips are on the agenda during summer stays in Balmoral. She is also close to her cousins William and Harry, whom she meets at Windsor get-togethers.
