SPEEDSTER WILLS
Like his father and grandfather before him William is something of a daredevil. While Prince Charles and the Duke of Edinburgh played polo well into middle age, the second in line to the throne gets his kicks from motorbikes.

For years Wills' pride and joy was a Triumph Daytona 600. This was superceded in May 2006, however, by a 1100cc Super Blackbird - one of the fastest machines on the market. Capable of 175mph, it can even outrun four-wheel speedsters by renowned sports marques such as Porsche and Ferrari.

As heir to the British throne, Wills has inevitably had to address worries about his safety. He insists that responsible riders have nothing to fear, though. "As long as you've had thorough training, you should be OK," he says. "My father is concerned that I'm into motorbikes, but he doesn't want to keep me wrapped up in cotton wool."
