As the royal wedding day approaches, spectacular gifts from provinces all around Spain have begun to flood in for Felipe and Letizia. And all of the gifts, from the traditional to the unusual, stand out, making for quite a memorable registry.
One province has served up a 48-service set of crystalware – including decanters, pitchers and matching candelabras – hand made by 40 glass artisans. Meanwhile, an Alicante-area town has given the happy couple a marble sculpture of two figures embracing, and another organisation has presented them with a blown glass sculpture representing the reflection of nature in glass.
