Granny's chips
One of the most stunning pieces of royal jewellery is the most valuable
brooch in the world. Made from the third and fourth parts of the Cullinan
diamond, the pin consists of a pear-shaped 92-carat gem hanging from a
square-cut, 62-carat stone and was given to Queen Mary by the High Commissioner
of South Africa in 1910. Along with other pieces made from the Cullinan
diamond, it is known by the royal family as "Granny's chips".
