When HELLO! asked Pierce Brosnan what his marriage to Keely Shaye Smith meant to him, he answered, "It's the culmination of our seven years together and hopefully the next 77 years together."

Keely, his beautiful bride, continued: "Don't underestimate the power of a great courtship. It's been incredible! I was teasing Pierce the other day. I said, 'Instead of the seven-year itch, it'll be the seven-year hitch'."

And it wasn't just the couple who were keenly anticipating the big day - their guests, as well as locals in neighbouring villages were too. Before the wedding guests entered Ballintubber Abbey, the coaches in which they were riding passed through streets lined with well-wishers.
