"I'm fairly practical, but I love romance," said Keely in the build-up to her big day. "And I love the fact that Pierce celebrates it and embraces it." And boy did he celebrate it.
Guests filed into the church to the sounds of bagpipes played by two pipers in the green and red colours of County Mayo. Shafts of light from the windows mingled with the glow from hundreds of candles. Pastel roses and blue delphiniums cascaded from boxes nestled in the window alcoves.

There were peach-hued roses, orange blossoms, stephanotis, white delphiniums and other pastel flowers mingled with eucalyuptus and other greenery. Gardenia garlands encircled the altar and the smell of lavender filled the air with the heady fragrance of summer.

The music was provided by singer Loreena McKennitt, who sang the ballad Bonnie Portmore. Later, she was accompanied on uillean pipes by the founder of Irish group The Chieftains, Paddy Moloney, for a rendition of I Heard The Voice Of Jesus Say.
